The Raw Material: From Tree to Textile
The journey of Lyocell begins with natural cellulose, a compound found in the wood pulp of trees. While it can be sourced from various types of wood, we choose to use bamboo. As a resource, bamboo is a sustainability powerhouse. It grows incredibly fast, requires minimal water and no pesticides, and even helps to improve soil quality. This raw material is the first step in creating a truly conscious fabric.
The Lyocell Process: A Sustainable Breakthrough
This is the most remarkable part of the Lyocell process. It is a "closed-loop" system, which means it is designed for efficiency and minimal waste.

Dissolution: The bamboo pulp is broken down using a non-toxic, organic solvent. This solvent dissolves the pulp into a viscous, honey-like liquid.

Spinning: The liquid is then filtered and extruded through tiny holes (spinnerets) to form long, continuous fibers.

Washing & Drying: The newly formed fibers are washed in water to remove any residual solvent.

Recycling: This is where the "closed-loop" magic happens. Over 99% of the solvent is captured and recycled back into the system to be used again. This dramatically reduces waste and prevents chemicals from entering the environment.
