The Verleu Story
At Verleu (vair-lay), our name is a reflection of our foundation. Derived from the French words vers le Ciel and Dieu, it signifies a movement "towards Heaven and towards God." We believe that true, ultimate rest is a gift from Him—a peace that encompasses both the spirit and the body.
A Season of Restlessness
Our journey began in a season when rest felt like a distant luxury. We faced endless, weary nights—hours spent tossing and turning, followed by the frustration of waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweats. Like so many others, we were trapped in a cycle of broken sleep.
As we looked for answers, the Lord led us to a simple realization: the fabrics we were sleeping on were part of the problem. Our traditional cotton and polyester bedding were heat-traps, designed in a way that worked against the body’s natural need for coolness. In a time when rest was rare and deeply valuable, we realized that our sheets needed to become a priority. We didn't just want a product; we wanted a solution that aligned with the comfort God intends for us.

Through this search, we were led to the incredible potential of bamboo. However, as we delved deeper, a major problem in the market was revealed to us. We discovered that not all bamboo is created equal.
Most bamboo bedding on the market is made using Viscose, a process that relies on intense chemicals and toxic solvents like carbon disulfide. While better than polyester, it lacked the true eco-friendliness and purity we felt called to provide. We knew there had to be a higher standard—a "Heavenly standard"—for the home.
